AECOM's environmental + ecological planning work for the Pine Tree Wind Project in Tehachapi, California is described in Sustainable Land Development Today. Through this project, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power "will add 120 megawatts of clean, renewable wind energy to its distribution grid—enough electrical energy to power approximately 56,000 homes—meeting the electrical energy needs of approximately 168,000 people."

The October issue of Monocle Magazine (pdf) describes the new LAPD Headquarters, for which AECOM did architectural work, in an article called "Design Report: Justice for All – Global."

Announcements

Anthony Bernheim, AECOM Sustainability Principal, will receive the David Gottfried Special Achievement Award for his pioneering work in integrated building practices and indoor air quality at the 3rd Annual Green Building Super Hero Awards Gala on October 30 at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
